Lynwood Collins Wrenn, 83, of Griffin, widower of Mary Frances Bell Wrenn, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital.

Born in Collins, GA, March 25, 1938, he was the son of the late Gordon Aubrey and Imogene Collins Wrenn. Mr. Wrenn was a Veteran of the US Army. He was retired after forty-five years of service from Bell South where he served as an Outside Plant Supervisor and was a former member of Telephone Pioneers of America. He loved his farm and taking care of the cattle and enjoying the lake.

Mr. Wrenn was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church where he was a deacon of the church and taught the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Wrenn was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Phillips, and her husband Bill.

Surviving are a daughter, Allison Smyly and husband Steven of Griffin; a son, Greg Wrenn and wife Carol of Marietta; grandchildren, Elizabeth Smyly, Sarah Smyly, Rebecca Smyly, Justin Wrenn and Jana Wrenn; a sister, Harriett Gordy and husband Vernon; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Lynwood Collins Wrenn will be conducted Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Rehoboth Baptist Church with Reverend Gaines Wise and Reverend Argin Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Rehoboth Baptist Church, 1304 Barnesville Road, Griffin, GA 30224 in memory of Mr. Wrenn.
