Shawaltra Horton, the suspect in a stabbing incident that occurred Sunday, turned herself in to the Griffin Police Department at about 3 p.m. Monday.

The Griffin Police Department on Sunday responded to 731 Williams St. in reference to a man with a stab wound, according to a GPD press release.

The Criminal Investigations Division was notified and investigators were called to the scene. Upon arrival they identified the victim as Cadero Raymond Williams, 32, of Griffin, who died shortly afterward.

Further investigation identified Horton, 23, of Griffin, as the suspect who assaulted Williams. Warrants were obtained for Horton charging her with felony murder, aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
