A Macon man who was arrested on a kidnapping charge in September was scheduled for a preliminary hearing Tuesday but it was continued.

Steven Phillip Mash, 40, of 3562 Kings Park Circle, Macon, faces the following charges — two counts of kidnapping with injury, aggravated assault, first degree home invasion, first degree burglary, aggravated stalking, battery-family violence, and criminal trespass with damage.

Tuesday’s hearing had been scheduled for Tuesday in the Spalding County Magistrate Courtroom at the Spalding County Jail.

Mash was arrested by the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 11.

According to an SCSO incident report, deputies responded in non-emergency mode at 11:41 a.m. Sept. 11 to 78 Edwards St., Griffin, in reference to a reported kidnapping.

Mash was subsequently arrested and transported to the Spalding County Jail.
