A Spalding County grand jury has indicted a Griffin woman on murder charges in connection with the fatal stabbing of Cadero R. Williams.
Shawaltra Breanta Horton, 23, was indicted on charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.
Horton is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 25 in front of Spalding County Superior Court Judge Ben Miller Jr.
Williams was stabbed during an incident reported Oct. 18, 2020, at a Griffin residence.
According to a Griffin Police Department incident report, a witness told officers he reportedly witnessed Horton stab the victim once in the neck.
Another witness told officers she did not see the incident occur but did notice Williams exit the residence while holding his hand on his neck, stagger into the street and then collapse, the incident report stated.
Horton is being held in the Spalding County Jail.
