The board of directors of the Griffin Area Concert Association has decided to cancel the remaining concerts in the 2020-21 season.
The TW Jazz Machine was scheduled to perform on March 25 and The Everly Set was to take the stage on May 13. Both concerts have been canceled.
The decision was made for the safety of the association’s patrons, performers and volunteers.
With COVID-19 cases and deaths still increasing in the area and with very limited seating available at the Griffin Auditorium due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the board felt it was prudent and practical to cancel the remaining concerts.
The board is in discussions with performers for the 2021-22 season that will hopefully begin in the fall of 2021. More information on this will be released when it becomes available.
