DAR honors Slider

The Pulaski Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution recently honored a community member with its Women in America History award. This award is given to recognize a woman who has made a difference in history. Sandra Slider is co-executive director of the Griffin-Spalding Historical Society. Under her leadership and presidency, Slider has ensured that the Bailey-Tebault House remains open for all to enjoy. She was instrumental in raising funds for the stair repair, for cleaning, decorating and promoting the house. Slider is retired from Woodward Academy and lives in her own historic house on Pine Hill. She and husband Rusty have one son. Slider, left, is pictured with Judy Parker.
