A course is being offered for those who wish to get their amateur radio license.

Amateur radio is both a hobby and a vital service to the community in times of disaster providing communications when traditional communication platforms are down.

The course is free and will be taught over Zoom on each of the Tuesday nights in March. You don’t have to attend all the classes, but the more you attend, the better prepared you will be for the license exam.

Following the course, you may take the technician license exam in-person in Griffin or virtually over Zoom. A textbook is required. If you are interested, you must respond by Feb. 19 so that you can receive your textbook in time for the class.
