The FY22 school budget is up for final adoption when the Griffin-Spalding County School Board meets in a public hearing 3:30 p.m., today at the central office, downtown.
A workshop meeting is scheduled to follow at 4 p.m.
Today is the final step in the FY22 school budget process, which started back on May 4 with a tentative budget preview and continued with public hearings on May 11 and May 18 before the budget was also printed on May 21 in the Griffin Daily News as well as on the Griffin-Spalding County Schools website.
Total appropriations for all funds in the budget is listed at $147.6 million, which includes — general fund ($94 million), special revenue fund ($27.3 million), capital projects fund ($20 million) and school nutrition fund ($6.25 million), as per information per the pre-minutes on the school’s website.
There are balanced budgets for all funds as supplemented by CARES dollars.
