Brightmoor Hospice partnered with Second Wind Dreams to hold two vow renewal ceremonies in Fayetteville.
On Feb. 24, Jim and Lois Howell renewed their vows after 66 years of marriage at the Heartis Senior Community in Fayetteville. The event was attended by friends and fellow residents of Heartis Memory Care with their daughter attending via Facetime.
On Feb. 25, the vow renewal of Heartis Independent Living residents Robert and Catherine Harris was held. They have been married for 69 years and are looking forward to celebrating their 70th anniversary in November. Their ceremony was attended by friends and fellow residents of Heartis Independent Living as well as their daughter and granddaughter.
Both ceremonies were officiated by Brightmoor Hospice chaplain Marsha Feuser and guests were treated to cakes provided by Brightmoor Hospice. Attendees danced the day away with music supplied by Heartis’ activity director.
Brightmoor Hospice also provided wedding favors and flowers to complete the day. After the events Brightmoor Hospice delivered wedding albums to each couple and their families to remember their special day.
“We had the best time and enjoyed creating such a special day for two wonderful couples,” Community Outreach Coordinator Dana Samples said.
