When the season started, the Skipstone Academy football team had never won a game.

The Warriors went 0-8 last season and fell to 0-9 all-time when they completed a thunder storm-suspended game two weeks into the season, falling 44-24 against CrossPointe.

However, a lot has changed since then. The Warriors (3-1) head into Saturday night’s game against Praise Academy (1-5) looking to extend their school-record win streak to four games.

Since its last loss, Skipstone Academy has strung together wins against Lafayette Christian 35-34, Philadelphia Christian 58-0 and Youth Christian 46-0 in independent eight-man football.

Saturday, the Nick Elliott-coached Warriors will face a Praise Academy team that has been struggling this season. Praise opened the season losing an ICSGA game 53-27 to Ballard Christian before losing a non-ICSGA game 50-20 against Community.

Thereafter, forfeits followed to Colonial Hills and CrossPointe. Two weeks ago Praise picked up its first win of the season, topping Heritage 30-26, before another forfeit last weekend to North Georgia Christian.
