Mr. Love was born Dec. 6, 1929, in Henry County, Ga., to the late Owen Jackson Love and the late Daisy Gleaton Love. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margie C. Love, who passed away in June, 2010; son, Eddie Crawford; grandson, Chuck Jackson; brothers, Pete Love and Sam Love; and sisters, Sara Hubbard, Rebecca Evans and Polly Miller. Mr. Love retired from K-Mart Distribution Center, and was a member of Victory Tabernacle, now known as My Father’s House.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Freddy Clark, of Williamson and Linda and Rick Varnom, of Thomaston; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Danita Crawford, of Barnesville; grandchildren, Freddy Clark Jr., Julie Clark Pike, Eddie Jr. and Angela Crawford, Kevin Crawford, Tommy Crawford, Tabatha Crawford, Joni Crawford, Amber and Jason Fountain, Daniel Crawford, Mark Crawford, Stephanie and Marc Pritchett and Shelley and Ben Daniel; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Gleaton Love will be conducted at noon Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The Rev. Marc Pritchett will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Garden. Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at the funeral home.
