Dristen William Joseph Tyndall, 6, of Dahlonega, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010, at his residence following an extended illness.

Memorial services were held at 6 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010, in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family received friends on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. An additional visitation was held Friday, July 16, 2010, from 4 to 6 p.m., prior to the memorial service.

Dristen was born April 24, 2004, in Gainesville, Ga., to Pamela Tyndall Dixon and Kevin Smith.

Dristen is survived by his mother and stepfather, Pamela Tyndall Dixon and Dennis Dixon of Dahlonega; brother, Damien Dixon of Dahlonega; father, Kevin Smith of Jackson; paternal grandparents, Cathy and Richard Smith of Jackson; maternal grandparents, Felicia and Fred Miller of Gainesville; grandfather, Jerry Tyndall of Cleveland; grandfather, Charles Dixon of Dahlonega; great-grandparents, Ralph and Willie Gable of Gainesville; great-grandmother, Evelyn Ann Smith of Griffin; and great-grandmother, Frances Moore of Jackson.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504, is in charge of arrangements.
