Pike chief magistrate accepts plea bargain

Pike County Chief Magistrate Judge Patricia Killingsworth on Friday morning pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor charge of malpractice in office.

As a condition of her plea bargain, Killingsworth immediately resigned from office.

Killingsworth's granddaughter, Brandy Vaughn, also entered a guilty plea to a single misdemeanor count of theft by taking.
