Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Moore Wilson “Beth” Wallace, 59, of Wallace Road, Griffin, Ga., passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Henry Medical Center in Stockbridge.

Beth was born Aug. 27, 1950, in Munich, Germany, daughter of the late Roy W. and Jeane Dormandy Moore, formerly of Jenkinsburg. She was an accountant. Beth loved the church and ministry. She was the financial secretary of First Baptist Church of Sunny Side. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and loved her family. She was a former member of Cherokee Garden Club of Jackson and was a political activist.

Mrs. Beth Wallace is survived by her husband, Jim Wallace, of Griffin; daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Joe Stephenson, of Marietta; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Sue and Steve Bryan, of Grayson; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Sherry Moore, of Oneonta, Ala.; mother-in-law, Mildred Wallace, of Griffin; sisters-in-law and spouses, Donna and Larry Drake, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Toni and Randy Moore, of Jackson, and Sulla Wilson, of Jackson; brothers-in-law and spouses, Bill and Norma Wilson, of Jackson, and Mike and Beverly Wallace, of Griffin; special niece, Erin Bryan, of Grayson; and several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Beth Wallace were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, from the First Baptist Church of Sunny Side. The Rev. Joel Stewart and the Rev. Tyson Roach officiated. Interment followed in the Fellowship Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Jackson. She lied in state from 1 until 2 p.m. Friends visited the family at the funeral home from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday and at other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800, or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718, in memory of Beth Moore Wilson Wallace.
