Mrs. Nichols was born May 29, 1922, in Fayetteville, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Nichols, and grandson, Mitchell Thomas.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Harry “Jerry” Thomas, and Tommy and Debbie Thomas; grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Sharon High, Mark Thomas, Tim Thomas, and Tracy Warren; great-grandchildren, Dustin and Cameron High, LaDonna and Aaron Thomas, Lauren Gilow and Isabelle Warren; and several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Miriam Harris Nichols will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. The Rev. Greg Marsh will officiate. Entombment will follow in Westwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at the funeral home.
