Mr. Ragan was born on Dec. 10, 1976, in Savannah, Ga. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Lonnie Clark Moon and Hilda A. Massey. Shane was a 1998 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Griffin.
Survivors include his parents, David and Rebbecca Ragan of Griffin; sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly and Theodore Beiter of Savannah; grandmother, Lucille Moon of Griffin; niece, Emily Beiter, and nephew, Matthew Beiter, both of Savannah.
Funeral services for Shane Ragan will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church of Griffin. The Rev. Tim Dalstrom, the Rev. Kevin Lobello and the Rev. Courtney Wall will officiate. Interment will follow in Camp Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1349 Macon Road, Griffin, GA 30224, in memory of Shane.
