A “Preparing for Caring” conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 28 at the Griffin First Baptist Church Family Life Building to address issues for those providing care to others. No cost to attend, but space is limited and pre-registration is required by calling 770-467-6136,

The Spalding County Senior Center’s Senior Prom 2009 will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 at the Elks Club. The Buckeye Band will play hits from the 1950s and 1960s. For tickets call 770-467-4384.
