Spalding has won five straight games to improve to 15-5 overall and 10-4 in Region 4-AAA.
It was senior night at Spalding and Lady Jags head coach Demetrius King started his three seniors, Shay Dickson, Chyna Hastings and Keshundra Wilson, and Spalding trailed 9-8 after one period.
The Lady Jags went on a 9-0 run to start the second period, taking a 17-9 lead and they rolled from there.
Ibiam scored seven points and Chasity Lawrence added five in the second to push Spalding’s lead at the half to 28-14.
Woodland only scored five points in the second quarter and missed 21 shots total in the first half.
King was able to substitue freely in the second half as the Lady Jags played crisply and efficiently on offense and defense.
Richards finished the game with 16 points, Ibiam ended with 14 and Wilson chipped in eight for Spalding.
“The seniors were very poised at the start and we played disciplined ball tonight,” King said. “Now we have to keep going and make a region tournament run.”
