The Victim Service Unit of the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office will hold a benefit concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7 and feature The Return, an authentic Beatles tribute band. Highland United Methodist Church, 2009 Old Atlanta Road, will have a Bazaar and Bake Sale on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Breakfast with all types of biscuits and lunch with hot dogs and chili will be served. The Spalding Basketball Association will hold open registration for the 2008-2009 youth basketball program for ages 4- 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 1; and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 3 at Fairmont Community Center located at 241 Blanton Ave., Griffin.
