Mrs. Anne Campbell Brannon, age 66, of Griffin, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2l, 2008, at Crawford Long Hospital.

Mrs. Brannon was born Sept. 21, 1942, in Griffin, the daughter of the late Willis Taylor Campbell and the late Evelyn Duke Campbell. She was a member of Griffin First United Methodist Church since 1951. She was co-owner of Buddy’s 19 South Convenience Store for 19 years. 

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, W.L. “Buddy” Brannon Jr.; children, Amy and Derrell Daniels, Lee Brannon, all of Griffin, Anna and Bo Hooper, of Pike County and Christopher Brannon, of Griffin; grandchildren, Campbell Daniels, Caroline Daniels, Claire Daniels, Brannon Hooper, Carlie Bo Hooper and Evelyn Hooper; sisters, Jan Buracker, of Columbus, Ga., Geneve Piper, of Winter Haven, Fla., and Jerry Campbell, of Columbus, Ga.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anne Campbell Brannon will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Griffin First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kevin Lobello and the Rev. Dan Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make donations in memory of Mrs. Brannon to the First Baptist Church Children’s Program, 106 W. Taylor St., Griffin, GA 30223, or the First United Methodist Church Children’s Program, 1401 Maple Drive, Griffin, GA 30224.
