Mrs. Brannon was born Sept. 21, 1942, in Griffin, the daughter of the late Willis Taylor Campbell and the late Evelyn Duke Campbell. She was a member of Griffin First United Methodist Church since 1951. She was co-owner of Buddy’s 19 South Convenience Store for 19 years.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, W.L. “Buddy” Brannon Jr.; children, Amy and Derrell Daniels, Lee Brannon, all of Griffin, Anna and Bo Hooper, of Pike County and Christopher Brannon, of Griffin; grandchildren, Campbell Daniels, Caroline Daniels, Claire Daniels, Brannon Hooper, Carlie Bo Hooper and Evelyn Hooper; sisters, Jan Buracker, of Columbus, Ga., Geneve Piper, of Winter Haven, Fla., and Jerry Campbell, of Columbus, Ga.
Funeral services for Mrs. Anne Campbell Brannon will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Griffin First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kevin Lobello and the Rev. Dan Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make donations in memory of Mrs. Brannon to the First Baptist Church Children’s Program, 106 W.
