Water Service Interruption. The Spalding County Board of Commissioners has received notice from Tom Davidson & Sons Inc. that a portion of State Route 362/Williamson Road from its intersection at Rover-Zetella Road east to Carver Road will experience a water service interruption for a three-hour period on Friday May 30, 2008, to allow for waterline relocation made necessary by intersection improvements by the Georgia DOT at the Pine Hill Road and State Route 362/Williamson Road intersection.

AARP Driver Safety Course will be held at the Senior Center May 31 and June 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  You must attend both sessions to receive the insurance discount.  Cost is $10.  Special: any AARP member can bring a friend or relative for free.  To register call the Senior Center at 770-467-4384.

5K Fun Run. The run will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and will be held at 8:30 a.m. on June 28, 2008 at the Piggly Wiggly on Hill St.,  Griffin. Registration is $20 and pre-registration is necessary by June 21. For more information call 404-348-0464.
