Mr. Phillip Donald Dickinson, 65, of Griffin, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008.

Mr. Dickinson was born Dec. 9, 1942, in Pell City, Ala. He was a retired veteran of the United States Army and member of Berean Baptist Church of Griffin.

Mr. Dickinson is survived by his wife, Dianne Dickinson of Griffin; mother, Loma Scheurich; three sons, James and Lisa Dickinson and their family, Chuck and Kim Dickinson and their family, and Phillip David Dickinson, all of Owensboro, Ky.; one daughter, Renee Williams and their family of Grandview, Mo.; sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Norman Hedden of Owensboro, Ky.; brother, Frank Dickinson of Birmingham, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Phillip Donald Dickinson will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Pastor Don Marlyn and the Rev. Lewis James will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Dickinson may be made to Christian Ministries Hospice, 621 Carver Road, Griffin, GA 30224.
