World-renowned evangelist Dave Roever visited Griffin First Assembly of God recently and spoke of a new recovery ranch for “wounded worriers” in the mountains of Colorado called “Eagles Summit Ranch, helping wounded warriors find their way home.” His goal is to train these young heroes to turn their tragedy to triumph and show to a hurting world the difference Christ can make in life.
All military in attendance were honored “for what they are doing and what they have done for our freedom.” He then shook hands with each of them and told them “thank you for your service to our country.”
Senior Pastor Randy Valimont invited family members to join their soldiers for prayer, stating his father had served in the military for 30 years and he understood that when one member of the family went to war, the whole family was involved in the sacrifice. The congregation stood and applauded these “men and women of courage.”
Also more than 25 first responders, including Sheriff Dee Stewart were honored during a recent service at Griffin First Assembly of God. Senior Pastor Randy Valimont spoke out of gratitude about the duty, sacrifices, and honor these public servants offered our community. In appreciation, each First Responder received a gift card.
