Mr. Dennington was born Sept. 9, 1911, son of the late Blaine and May Dennington. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Lula Bell Musgrove Dennington; granddaughter, Dawn Gentry; grandson, Thomas Brooks; one brother; and three sisters.
Survivors include his daughter, Joyce Gentry of Duluth; daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and Gerald Crittenden of Williamson; grandchildren, Terry Brooks, Johnny Crittenden, Raymond Gentry, Tina Crittenden, Linda Mills, Susan Gentry, Barbara Presley, Brenda Wells, Edward Williams and Mark Williams; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters.
Funeral services for Mr. Joe W. Dennington will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday Sept. 30, 2007, in the Warren Haisten Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Andy Cunningham will officiate. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in College Park. Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at the funeral home.
