Mr. Kennedy was born in Griffin on Aug. 19, 1931, to the late Milton L. Kennedy Sr. and the late Mary Grant Kennedy. He is preceded in death by a brother, Larry Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy was the former owner of Kennedy’s Real Tire Service, and was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian English Kennedy; sons and daughter-in-law, Russell G. and Lisa Kennedy, and Lee Kennedy; four grandchildren, Heather Kennedy, Ashley Kennedy, Shae Kennedy, and Mackenzie Kennedy Kennedy; mother-in-law, Pearline English; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leon and Theresa English; aunt, Evelyn Grant; nephews, Tim Kennedy and Jay English; niece, Kim Ash; cousins, Debra Grant, Jerry Grant and his wife, Kathy, their daughter, Misty and her husband, Scott and their daughter, Faith.
Graveside services for Mr. Milton L. Kennedy Jr. will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, in the new section of Oak Hill Cemetery. Dr. Benny Tate will officiate.
