Mr. Jimmy “Buzz” Burousas Jr., 60, died at his Concord home on Wednesday, July 1, 2009.
He and wife Teresa moved to their new home following their marriage in 2006. Buzz loved the outdoors and he and Teresa loved their home in the woods. He graduated from Gordon Military College and Griffin Technical College. He had been employed by Caterpillar in Griffin for the last 10 years. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and was an amateur radio enthusiast, WD4PHQ, SK. Buzz loved his dogs and especially his black lab, Bart. They all will miss him. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Marian Mangham.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Mangham Burousas; parents, Jimmie Burousas Sr. and Bobbie Dorsey Burousas of Barnesville; sister, Bobbie Carol Waller and husband J.C. “Buddy” Waller of Barnesville; father-in-law, Doug Mangham of Zebulon; and brother-in-law, Stan Mangham of Concord.
Funeral services for Mr. Buzz Burousas will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 5, in the chapel of Moody Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Barnesville. Friends may visit the family from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Those wishing to make donations may do so to the building fund at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Griffin.
