Griffin-Spalding County School System Superintendent Curtis Jones is sworn in Tuesday by Spalding County Probate Court Judge DeWitt Simonton. “I woke at 2 a.m. this morning and said, ‘Today is the day,’” Jones said to the massive crowd of family members, friends and co-workers at the Griffin Auditorium ceremony. Jones went on to tell the audience that his vision for the school system is that it will lead the state in school achievement.
