HAMPTON, Ga. — Only one week remains for race fans to apply for Atlanta Motor Speedway’s Chief Lighting Officer position, the glowing personality who will win the honor to flip the “switch” to turn on the lights before the first NASCAR Sprint Cup night race in Atlanta on Labor Day weekend.

Announced in early May, the deadline to apply to become Atlanta Motor Speedway’s Chief Lighting Officer is quickly approaching on Monday, June 15.

Once selected, the Chief Lighting Officer will receive a once-in-a-lifetime package, with VIP race access to Atlanta Motor Speedway, inclusion in the official race souvenir program, and the winner will be introduced during pre-race driver introductions.

Selected by a panel of Atlanta Motor Speedway employees, the Chief Lighting Officer will also receive other great prizes.
