Donavan Adams had a triple and scored two runs and Hunter Ott pitched a complete game as the Griffin Christian Crusaders baseball team beat the Harvester Christian Hawks 13-4 in GISA Region 4-AA action at Nix Field.

GC gets its first win of the season to improve to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in region play.

Adams got his triple in the bottom of the third inning and teammate Austin Lassetter singled him home for the 1-0 lead. With the bases loaded, Noah Moore had an RBI walk and Jordan Harris had an RBI single to give GC the 3-0 lead.

Harvester tied the game at 3-all, staging a two-out rally in the top of the fourth inning. The Adams and Lassetter connection happened again with Adams getting a walk, stealing second and third bases and Lassetter getting an RBI single to put GC back in front 4-3 in the bottom of the fourth. GC scored six more runs in the next two innings sandwiched around a Harvester run for the 10-4 lead.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Matthew Moore smacked a 3-run double to extend the lead to 13-4. The Crusaders held the Hawks from there to get the win.
