Mrs. Emoline Williamson

Mrs. Emoline Whitfield Williamson, 72, born in Toombs County, passed away at Brightmoor Hospice on March 1, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt and Pearl Whitfield, a sister, Margie Whitfield Colvin and granddaughter, Katie Elizabeth Martin. She attended Christian Fellowship Church in Zebulon and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Darvin G. Williamson; daughters and sons-in-law, Jason and Tammy Thornton of Monticello and Steve and Susie Martin of Barnesville; grandchildren Karen Martin, Andrew Johnson, Amber, Destiny and Shirley Thornton; and brother H.C. Whitfield.
Friends may visit the family on Sunday, March 3, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 4, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Al Shackelford officiating. Interment will be at 4 p.m. in Pendleton Springs Cemetery in Oak Park, Ga. Memorials may be made to Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, P.O. Box 865, Zebulon, GA 30295.

Mr. J. Taylor Kitchens

Mr. J. Taylor Kitchens, age 90 passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Westbury Medical Care Home in Jackson, Ga.
Mr. Kitchens was the son of the late Juel Carson Kitchens and Grace Kitchens of Griffin. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Kitchens; and his second wife, Sarah C. Kitchens; a brother, Grant Kitchens; and a sister, Velma Kitchens. He was very active with the Boy Scouts for many years having served as Scout Master of Troup 78. Mr. Kitchens also earned the prestigious Silver Beaver Award. He was a member of County Line United Methodist Church and the Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include his sons and their wives, Victor and Nancy Kitchens, Basil Kitchens, Dwight and Tabitha Kitchens, Mark Kitchens, Gabriel and Nancy Kitchens; daughters and their husbands, Diane and Jack O’Quinn, Becky and Marty Flowers, Carleen and Jack Crawford; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. J. Taylor Kitchens will be Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Cryptside funeral services for Mr. J. Taylor Kitchens will be conducted on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 2 p.m., in the Mausoleum of Oak Hill Cemetery. Reverend Gene Walton will officiate.
