Nancy L. Park

Died Feb. 10, 2013

Sylvania, Ohio resident

Nancy L. Park, 81, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Feb.10, 2013 at the Ebeid Hospice Residence.

She was the daughter of Virginia (Crosby) and Clyde Kiehl. Nancy was a graduate from Grady Nursing school as registered nurse working for Crawford-Long in Atlanta for more than 25 years, retiring in 1975. Upon her retirement Nancy spent her time at her Antique Shop.

Nancy and Charles were married on July 2, 1954 they were married 58 years prior to his death.

Nancy is survived by her loving sons Zach (Susan) Park, of Sylvania, Ohio, and Larry Park, of Griffin; sister Carolyn Kiehl; and brother Charles Kiehl, of Wildwood, Fla.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 402 Oxford St., Wildwood, Fla., at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013. Burial at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Beach House Family Shelter, 915 N. Erie Street, Toledo, Ohio 43604, in memory of Nancy K. Park.

Mrs. Mary Grace Wilson

July 2, 1911 – Feb. 15, 2013

Mrs. Mary Grace Wilson, age 101 of Griffin, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 at The Woods Assisted Living Facility in Griffin.

She was born in Thomaston, Ga., on July 2, 1911 to the late Walter David Vining and Grace Reeves Vining. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Albert and Harrison Vining. She spent her childhood in Thomaston and Meansville. After graduating from high school, she attended Business College of Georgia in Macon for two years. Upon completion of Business College, she worked for City Dairy in Thomaston as a bookkeeper. Here, she met and married William Edward (Ed) Wilson.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of First Baptist Church of Griffin where she played the piano for the Men’s Bible Class for many years and was a member of the Wisteria Garden Club. She loved playing bridge and the piano and was loved for her sweet, kind nature.

She is survived by her three children: Patricia Scroggins and her husband Bob of Griffin; Richard Wilson and his wife Anne of Columbus, GA and Ginny Wall and her husband Tuck of Macon, GA. , sisters, Pauline Stell of Fayetteville, GA and Virginia Elliott of Newnan, GA, 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank The Woods for the unending devotion and loving kindness of all the staff to our Mother. A word of gratitude goes to Eternal Hope Hospice for all the love and care given by them as well.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Grace Wilson will be conducted Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Dr. Bill Hardy and Dr. Bruce Morgan will officiate. Interment will follow in Fincher Memorial Cemetery in Meansville. Friends may visit the family Sunday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Mr. Michael Robinson

Oct. 27, 1964 - Feb. 15, 2013

Mr. Michael Wayne Robinson, age 48, of Jackson, passed away February 15, 2013. He was born in Metairie, LA on October 27, 1964. He was a seven year veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Persian Gulf War aboard the aircraft carrier, The USS Coral Sea. He worked in construction for Hammond Services for many years, and for the last three years he worked as an assembler for Perkins in Griffin. He enjoyed fishing, loved music and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew.

He is survived by his wife: Paula Robinson; step-children: Richard Metcalf and wife Jameece of Ashville, NC and Amanda Metcalf of Barnesville, NC; grandchildren: Felicity, Ethan and Emily; parents: Doug and Yvonne Robinson of Pike County; brothers and sisters: Douglas D. Robinson and Ronnie Robinson both of Pike County and Mary Bryars of Monroe County; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit the family on Sunday, February 17, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 18, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Brother Al Shackelford officiating. Mrs. Gloria G. Gresham

Mrs. Gloria Swanson Gill Gresham, age 87, Griffin, Georgia passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 at Brightmoor Hospice.

Mrs. Gresham was born in Griffin, Georgia on December 4, 1925. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Arthur Gill and Cora Swanson Gill, her husband Charles Andrew “Andy” Gresham. Mrs. Gresham is also preceded in death by, brothers and sisters-in-law, Marshall and Helen Gill, Linwood and Doris Gill, Bill and Jane Gill. She retired from Ft. Gillem and was a member of Griffin First United Methodist Church and attended the Young at Heart.

Survivors include nephews Richard Gill and his wife Susan, Wayne Gill and his wife Anita, Mark Gill, Art Gill; great nieces and their husbands, Kelly and Barry Kenney, Wendy and Mark Waxmonsky, Jessie and Davis Littleton; great nephew and his wife, Jason and Beth Gill; loyal companions, Gizmo, Sally, Dottie and Seal.

Visitation for Mrs. Gloria Gresham will be on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Dr. Benny Tate will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Launa (Lee) Sandlin

Mrs. Launa (Lee) Hensley Sandlin, age 82, Williamson, Georgia passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 at Spalding Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Sandlin was born in Greenville, TN on December 13, 1930. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Reba E. Hensley. Mrs. Sandlin was a member of Zebulon First Baptist Church.

Survivors include husband of 64 years, Ralph E. Sandlin; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Robert McCune of Griffin, Cheryl and Charles Garner of Williamson, Lawana and Mark Corley of Forest Park; grandchildren, Shelly Thompson, Carrie Moreland, Christal and Ronnie Greene, Drew Moody, Charlie Garner; great-grandchildren, Adam Kinney, Alden Kinney, Clayton Thompson, McKaylynn Garner, Ethan Greene, Caleb Moreland, Mason Greene; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be conducted on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Dr. S. Ed Hoard will officiate.
