Griffin Christian volleyball players Brittany Foster and Cara Grobbelaar signed letters of intent Saturday afternoon at GCHS to play college volleyball at Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, Ga. The seniors will be a welcome addition to the TMC Lady Bears volleyball team as freshmen next year, according to Truett-McConnell head volleyball coach Kevia Elkins.

“What I like most about Brittany and Cara is their overall character. They are the kind of kids we want in our program,” Elkins said. “They also have athleticism, and the enthusiasm they will bring should rub off on our other players. They should get a lot of playing time as freshmen.”

The signing day attendees were, from left to right: GC volleyball coach Charles Stephens, GC volleyball coach (and Brittany’s mother) Melanie Foster, Brittany Foster, Cara Grobbelaar, GC athletic director David Hammond and Truett-McConnell head volleyball coach Kevia Elkins.
