Jeffery and Emmanuel Wimbush combined to score 36 points as Trinity beat the Impact 70-46 on Jan. 5 in SCPRD Men’s Open League basketball, winning despite Deon Smarr’s 12 and Martez Tanner’s 13.

SCPRD Men’sOpen League

* Spalding Beverage 59, Impact 32: Spalding Beverage won over Impact behind Marcus Taylor’s 14 and Mike Turner’s 10. Deon Smarr scored 9 and Montez Tanner 5 for the Impact.

* Arves 56, Spalding Beverage 40: Jaime Vaughn had 15 and Herman Maines 14 as Arves held off Spalding Beverage. Carlos Michell scored 8 and Reginald Smith 4 in defeat.

* Sefcor 57, Southern States 40: Sefcor pulled over the Southern States behind Titus Ogletree’s 22 and Novak Goodrum’s 11. Bernell Manning and Nick Pyron added 7 each in defeat.

* AEP 55, OBC 28: AEP beat OBC behind Randrick Coggins’ 19 and Stanley Booker’s 9. DJ Miller added 11 and Nick Blankenship 5 in defeat.

SCPRD Men’sOpen League

* Arves 64, Sefcor 54: Arves held out Sefcor in the closest SCPRD Mens Open Basketball game this season, winning behind Herman Mains’ 19 and Lamar Grimes’ 18 points. Sefcor’s leading scorers were Lamar Farr with 25 and Antonio Webb with 10.

* Trinity 76, AEP 42: Emmanuel Wimbush scored 13 along 12 each from Jeffery Wimbush and Rashard Fauet as Trinity defeated AEP. Ira McDowell had 11 and Tim McLean 9 in defeat.

* Arve’s 61, O.B.C. 31: Arve’s dominated O.B.C., winning off of Herman Mains’ 11 points and Rashad Gill’s 10. O.B.C.’s leading scorers were Dale Poss with 9 and Wade Lane with 6.

* Sefcor 69, AEP 37: Antonio Webb scored 18 and Lamar Farr 14 as Sefcor beat AEP, despite opposition from Randrick Coggins’ 12 and Stanley Booker’s 9 points.

* Trinity 94, Southern States 64: Emmanuel Wimbush contributed 32 as Trinity set a league high in scoring and beat the Southern States despite Bernall Manning’s impressive 40 points. Rashad Fauet added 28 in victory and Darrell Iverson 18 in defeat.

Bo Duke’s 40-and-Over,3-on-3 Basketball League

* T.O.P. Warriors 68, Griffin First 58: Craig Logan scored 27 and Marvin Kenner 17 as the T.O.P. Warriors came out on top against Griffin First. Tim Sizemore had 24 points and Jeff Boyd 15 in defeat.

* Team One 78, Roll Tide 53: Team One beat the Roll Tide behind a combined effort of James Butter’s 28 and Gerald Ellis’ 17. Stacey Lender and Randy Jones each put in 16 in the loss.

* Special Products 87, Dawgs 71: Dave Yaeger led the Special Products with 36 points as they defeated the Dawgs. He was accompanied by Gerald Coggins’ 23, beating out Ricky Dufffey and Carl Jackson with 42 and 13 points, respectively.

* Southern States 57, AEP 22: Zay Richardson scored 15 and Bernell Marning 12 as the Southern States held out AEP. Tim McLean scored 6 and Hashim Davis 4 in defeat.

* Impact 46, O.B.C. 31: Impact ran over O.B.C. behind James Stanley with 10 and Jamarcus Johnson with 9. Nick Blankenship had 14 and Donavon Green 11 points for O.B.C.

* Sefcor 52, Spalding Beverage 39: Lamar Farr dominated with 28 points as Sefcor beat Spalding Beverage. Titus Ogletree added 8, while Carlos Mitchell and Marcus Taylor scored 10 and 5 points in defeat, respectively.

* Southern States 70, Impact 45: The Southern States rolled over the Impact behind Zay Richardson’s 20 and Bernall Marning’s 15 points. Deon Smarr had 17 and Adrian Martin 11 in defeat.

* Spalding Beverage 71, OBC 24: Spalding Beverage demolished OBC behind Chip Harvey’s 11 and Marcus Taylor’s 9. Wale Lane and DJ Miller had 5 each for OBC.
