• Regarding the intersection at County Line and Old Macon roads ... I don’t care if you want to label those who have been involved in accidents there as “Einsteins” or “road hogs.” I do care if these same folks are labeled “dead” or “critically injured.” Two more stop signs. Please.

• Did all you city employees and city residents read the headline article in the Griffin paper on Tuesday, Dec. 18? How does your income compare with what the city of Griffin pays the city manager?

• It sounds like the Griffin Country Club’s finances were not up to par.

• Our local police officers deserve a raise. They work in dangerous situations, and they deal with people who are rude and violent.

• I wonder what all these rich people at the Griffin Country Club are going to do now that the club is closed. I bet that they will get really bored within the next couple of weeks. And they will have to eat at fast-food restaurants instead of in the club dining room. How terrible.

...Just curious....Who are the rich people in Griffin? If you were financially rich would you be living in Griffin?

TAXES TOPIC-There is again a national call from a President that damage from a coastal storm should be repaired by federal bucks, specifically, as in the SANDY event for HOME OWNERS, including those without FLOOD INSURANCE. Here, those who own homes often did not BUY the insurance, Their fault! Some with a mortgage may have had lenders who did not require flood insurance. Their fault. The Feds handle the program, so let it be announced NOW that FUTURE homes MUST be covered by flood insurance for Fed aid because, as Lincoln quipped, no more tets on the pig-i.e., the budget is full!

Just one other thing. No tax dollars were used in the operation of the Country Club. You should be more concerned with where your tax dollars are wasted instead of where someone spends money that belongs to them.

Perhaps instead of wondering where rich people will eat, you should wonder what all those people who lost their job at the Country Club will be doing. Being unemployed is what's terrible. Some people can't see past the nose on their face.
