LaGRANGE — Brittany Foster scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Griffin Christian girls team in a 55-38 loss Friday night at LaGrange Academy in GISA Region 4-AA action.

It was the third loss in the last four games for Griffin Christian (7-7 overall, 1-2 region) which fell to .500 for the season, while LaGrange (5-3, 1-0) snapped a two-game losing streak and also won its region opener.

Rounding out Griffin Christian’s leading scorers were Katy Hammond and Brittany Brogdon with 6 points each. Hammond also added 4 assists and 8 rebounds in a game the Lady Crusaders trailed in 14-10 at the end of the first quarter, 35-20 at the half and 45-30 going into the fourth quarter.

Griffin Christian continues its season 6 p.m. Tuesday at home against Class AAA No. 4-state ranked Westfield School (11-3).
