Mrs. Nichols was born on July 9, 1943 in Manchester, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents; Robert Lee McDonald and Frances Louise Cole McDonald. Mrs. Nichols is also preceded in death by her son, Mark Haddock, sisters, Betty Wilson, Anita Thompson, brother, Billy McDonald. She was retired from Crestview Baptist Church and member of the West Sunny Side Community Church.
Survivors include husband Gene Nichols, children Tim Price, Thomas Wall and his wife Cheryl, Danny Haddock, Keith Haddock and his wife Michelle; stepchildren, Carolyn Jimmerson and her husband Daryl, Susan Sullivan and her husband Keith, Rob Nichols and Tammy Haddock; her twin sister Tina Reese and her husband Manuel; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mrs. Gloria M. Nichols will be Saturday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 3 p.m. at West Sunny Side Community Church. Reverend Hugh Smith and Reverend Gene Luke will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Nichols will be carried to the church on Sunday to lie-in-state from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.

Mr. James Michael Brittian Sr., age 58 passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Spalding Regional Hospital. James was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 18, 1954. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Henry Brittian Sr., and Christine White Brittian; brothers, Charles Henry Brittian Jr. and Kenneth Brittian. He is survived by his wife, Dianne G. Brittian; son, Mr. and Mrs. James Michael Brittian, Jr. (Kendra); daughter, Nicole Williams; children, Howard Ross, Patrick Ross, Dianthia Ross; grandchildren, Brodarious Hamm, Dymond Bailey, Khristian Brittian, Z’asia Ross, Patrick Ross Jr. Ditavious Ross and Darius Ross ; sisters, Beverly Brittian Terry (William), Karen Brittian Johnson, Pamela McIver (Reverend James); brothers, Baron Brittian, Damon Brittian, aunt Earleane Durden; mother-in-law Azzie Mae Garland; sisters-in-law, Ora Lee Goodman (Marvin), Yolanda Montford (Larry), Alberta McCrary (Jimmy), Lucille Williams; brothers-in-law, Troy Garland, Reverend Jerome Garland (Machelle) host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends and extended family. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving a European tour and served several years in the Army Reserves. He retired from the Centers for Disease Control and was a member of the Faith in the Word Ministries. As a veteran, Mr. Brittian recently returned to school where he was an excellent student studying welding.
Visitation for Mr. James Michael Brittian will be Monday, January 7, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at noon in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Jerome Garland will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Georgia Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia, with military honors.
