Mr. Leslie Eugene Jones

Mr. Leslie Eugene Jones age 60 of Griffin, passed away Friday Dec. 14, 2012, at his residence.

Mr. Jones was born in Griffin on Feb. 12, 1952, to Marie Pierce Jones and the late Gwin Jones. He is a veteran of the United States Navy.

Survivors include his mother Marie Jones of Griffin; brothers, Frank and wife Claudine Jones of Williamson, David Jones of High Falls and Joel Jones of Griffin; sister, Janie Archer and husband Justin of Griffin; nephews, Michael Jones of Texas and Justin Archer of Griffin; best friend Dana Yoemans of Griffin.

Funeral services for Mr. Leslie Eugene Jones will be conducted on Monday Dec. 17, 2012, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Rev. John Nance will officiate. Interment will follow in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Williamson with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from noon until the service hour.

Mr. William Watkins, age of 83 of Oak Hall Court in Hampton, Ga., passed Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Vitas Hospice. Funeral services for Mr. Watkins will be conducted Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Horace Fuller Jr., pastor, and Rev. Harry Patrick will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memoria Garden Cemetery. Mr. Sheddrick Lavar Bama, age 35 of Hampton, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Southern Regional Medical Center. Visitation for Mr. Sheddrick Lavar Bama will be on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 from 5 until 7 p.m., at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at noon in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Pastor Willie Hinton will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bama will lie-in-state from 11 a.m., until the hour of service.
