• Mark Richt needs to be fired. He can never win the big game.
• Do you really know how your tax money is being spent? How much tax money does it take to operate all the authorities in Griffin and Spalding County? And by the way, what does the Chamber of Commerce cost the taxpayers? The public would be surprised how their tax money is spent. In the meantime, local government is looking for more ways to get more taxpayers’ money. Our local Republicans are just as bad as the Democrats.
• The Democrats think every American is stupid. I know for a fact, they, the Democrats, held control of the White House and both houses of Congress for two years and “did not pass a budget.” Now, they expect everyone to blame no budget by the federal government, on Republicans. I can’t think of the first Democrat that has any common sense. Blame, that’s the only word they know.
• Who cares about a 67 percent high school graduation rate in Georgia? School is for nerds anyway. There are more important things in life like football.
• It’s too bad the county commissioners can’t be brought up on stupidity charges.
• I love Obama and people need to stop saying bad things about him. He is the greatest president of all time. People are hating on him because he stands up for poor people.
• I get so tired of not hearing good music on radio. The so-called country stations don’t play country any more. All I ever is that hippie rock and roll and I get tired of it.
• Wake up, Dawg Nation. The fourth quarter doesn’t last 15 minutes and 5 seconds. What a lame excuse for Richt to say “We ran out of time.” Roll tide.
• My neighbor’s dog keeps barking and nobody does anything about it.
• It’s hard to be a Republican, with global warming and now you are going to need to deny math with the unemployment rates going down and housing going up. Why do schools teach those dangerous subjects anyway?
• We were really enjoying the countdown to Christmas a lot more than the price of the newspaper.
• Gen. David Betray Us should be in jail for sharing classified information with his girlfriend.
• The USA is turning into a third-world country thanks to Obama.
• Someone asked why the city has golf cart signs but you don’t see any carts. Anyone with sense knows the danger of driving a golf cart on a public street. In a collision with a large vehicle and a golf cart, guess which one loses. Golf carts on Griffin city streets is a stupid idea. We are not Peachtree City. They have 90 miles of golf cart with many of them well away from the streets.
• I think Griffin needs more fast food joints. We certainly don’t have enough on Taylor Street or North Expressway.
• Griffin is a great place to live. These people who write into the My Two Cents with the negative comments, need to leave. We don’t want you here anyway.
• Notre Dame better watch out. They’re undefeated but they haven’t played nobody. The SEC is the best conference in the country and Alabama will destroy Notre Dame.
• I recently saw where The Onion named North Korea’s Kim Jong Un as the Sexiest Man Alive. I wonder who would get that honor locally, William Wilson or Kenny Smith?
• Freedom of religion should be taken out of the Constitution. We need to be a Christian nation, not a nation where everybody believes in different religions. That’s the downfall of this country.
• The Republicans don’t want taxes raised on the rich, (presumably because they are all rich), but it is my understanding if an agreement is not reached on the fiscal issue then taxes will be raised on everyone, the rich included.
• Christmas is the best time of the year.
• In response to the front page article concerning an ethics complaint being sent to the board. I would like to say that I think it’s a very pathetic, desperate and classless act for two of our elected officials to use the race card because of a disagreement in who supported whom during the last presidential election and to make a threat to others in the meeting that the situation would “snowball into something big”, implying that simply because there is not an “African-American name’’ on the review board that it would turn into a racial issue. Those words and actions tell me who the real racists are.
• North Korea claims to have found a real unicorn. There’s about as much chance of that as the Airport Authority finding funding for a new airport.
• This is for the lady in Kroger last Wednesday. I hope the one lone egg you took from the egg department didn’t get broken in your coat pocket. Just remember there is always someone who sees all, not only myself but God.
• To the people who gripe about the older people leaning on their shopping carts. That’s the only way some of us can remain in our own homes and not depend on you people to pay our way. Think about it. We really are to be commended. You will be old some day.
• I agree the Griffin PD needs their own shooting range for training. This would help them a lot. However, by the appearance of some of their ranking officers, they need exercise facilities also. It appears that being overweight is a requirement for promotion. How can they be physically able to do such a demanding job?
I must point out to the SEC/Alabama fan: It's not "they haven't played nobody" it's "they ain't played nobody". Please, your making us look ignant.
