Demarion Colbert and Xzavious Mathis scored 6 points each to lead the Thomaston-Upson Bulldogs in a 16-8 win over the 49ers this weekend for the 9/10 Division Championship in Piedmont Youth Football League playoff action. Tanner Gilbert ran in two 2-point conversions to extend their lead, while the 49ers received support from a touchdown in the first quarter by Rockdez Yarbough, and a team safety in the 4th.

Saturday

11/12 Division

Lions 21, Texans 12:

Jamario Johnson ran in 3 touchdowns to help knock out the Texans in a clutch playoff performance, setting up Octavious Greer to score all 3 extra-points. Zion Berry and Draquavion Hollad put the only points on the board in defeat.



7/8 Division

Jaguars 19, Redskins 0:

Nazir Heflin scored twice and Jacob Hammonods once to lead the Jaguars in a dominating performance over the Redskins. Hammonds also ran in an extra-point to help advance his team to the championship game.

Cowboys 18, Colts 13:

Serquavion Alsobrooks ran for 2 touchdowns over the Colts to advance his team through the tail-end of their playoff campaign. Ronshawn Johnson scored 6 points in defeat and the other names were not listed.

5/6 Division

Tide 20, Gators 13:

Jordan Parks scored 13 points for the Tide, leading the way along with 7 from Jakari Moore. Kenneth Stephens ran in 2 touchdowns for the Gators.

Volunteers 19, Bulldogs 12:

Robert Henderson scored 2 touchdowns and an extra point to lead the Volunteers to the championship game. Keywon Davis ran in 2 for the Bulldogs while Donell Casey put up 6 points to add to the Volunteers lead.

Thursday

9/10 Division

49ers 28, Seminoles 22:

Rockarez Yarbough ran in all 4 touchdowns for the eventual champion 49ers in a late semifinal game, setting up Jamal Stephens to score a couple 2-point conversions. Kion Colbert, Dakarriyan Searcy and Jake Davis came up strong in a losing effort. Davis also scored two 2-point conversion to round out a tough loss.

Saturday (11/3)

9/10 Division

Thomaston-Upson Seminoles 14, Chiefs 10:

Ethan Gill and Dakarriyan Searcy scored for the Seminoles in order to get them into the semifinal game last Saturday, with the addition of an extra-point by Jake Davis. Shammard Berry ran in a touchdown in the tough early-playoff exit, along with a team safety late in the 4th quarter.
