The Griffin Police Department (GPD) responded to a location on Turner Street Saturday at about 11:20 a.m. in reference to a disturbance.

When police officers arrived, they spoke to a 56-year-old female who stated that 42-year-old Georgia Davis had come through the back door of the residence and was yelling and acting disorderly. The female further stated that Davis, who had been drinking earlier, left the residence toward Cherry Street when she called 911.

According to a GPD incident report, police located Davis shortly thereafter at the intersection of Hallyburton Street and Cherry Street. When talking to Davis, who was yelling out loud on the street, officers noticed a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from him.
