— The good news about living in a non-swing state like Georgia: no presidential TV ads. The bad news: Everyone’s a Republican.

— Anyone interested in dealing drugs, getting high and speeding up and down the roads, come on out to Digby and the Fairview community, because the sheriff doesn’t seem to mind at all.

— Poor little Pauly Ryan feeling so bullied because mean old Joe kept pointing out facts when Pauly’s rhetoric was not truthful.

— When Georgia Tech head football coach Paul Johnson fired his defensive coordinator, he should have also fired several offensive coordinators. His offensive coordinators know nothing but a high school offense and as long as this coaching staff remains at Georgia Tech, we will see the same results every year.

— A gentleman wrote in and said Mark Richt was the best coach in the United States. Everybody knows Steve (Superior) Spurrier owns the Georgia Bulldogs. He has always dominated them and always will.

— When the New York Jets played Houston earlier this month, it was the 666th “Monday Night Football” game. In the same game, Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez had a passer rating of 66.6, and the Jets lost the game. “666” is the mark of the devil. This is proof that God wants Tim Tebow to be the starting quarterback for the Jets.

— I received my cable bill from Comcast today. I only subscribe to digital starter and to my surprise my cable bill went up $10 a month. Never have I seen an increase like this, and I have had cable since cable has been in Griffin. It is high time for our fat city and county officials, who are receiving kickbacks from our local cable company, to go to work and bring another cable company to our city and county.

— Honey Boo Boo and her family are so redneck they make the people in “Deliverance” look sophisticated.

— Things the state of Georgia can be proud of: Honey Boo Boo, “Deliverance” and Jimmy Carter.

— The fire hydrant on Ethridge Mill Road, not far behind Alvin’s Barbecue, is almost completely covered with vines. It should be easy for firemen to find.

Just love the fact that Democrats can say whatever they want about someone no matter how rude or foul the language and it's okay. If anyone in any other party says the EXACT same thing about a Democrat, it's considered mean-spirited, politically incorrect, etc. The double standard lives!
