Let there be light — well, more lights.

The Spalding County Board of Commissioners approved 24 more lights for the soccer fields at Wyomia Tyus Park, The request came from the Griffin Soccer Association and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

The 24 lights will go on two existing poles on the west side Field No. 2 at Tyus Park. There are already 48 lights out there and the lights will be for practice use only, according to the request.
