The Griffin Spalding Development Authority will have to pay to get county crews to cut the grass.

At Monday’s meeting, County Manager William Wilson Jr., told the commissioners he’d be contacted by GSDA Executive Director David Luckie, who said a prospect was coming in and he needed a portion of the grass cut at the Lakes at Green Valley. Wilson told commissioners he estimated the cost to cut one side of the lake at about $1,000.

That price, Wilson said, includes cost of salary for eight hours for two guards, plus use of four tractors with bush hogs. “There is no charge for the inmates,” Wilson said.
