Griffin-Spalding County Airport Authority members remain encouraged following a meeting last week with a state transportation official.

Authority Chairman Dick Morrow said he and authority member Brett Lavender, who is also chairman of the Airport Advisory Board, had luch last week with Carol Comer of the Georgia Department of Transportation. Morrow said GDOT "is very supportive of our plans, she told us don’t quit, keep going.”

Morrow said he and Lavender were told “GDOT would be as user-friendly as possible,” but Comer reminded us “the FAA sets the rules.”
