Rainey, Western Kentucky’s all-time leading rusher, will be the third running back on the Ravens, behind starter Ray Rice and backup Bernard Pierce.
“This is a great opportunity and a blessing for me. It’s a dream come true, for sure,” Rainey said from Baltimore. “I’m still going to work hard and make sure that I play well at all times. I’m going to give it my best.”
Baltimore hosts AFC North rival Cincinnati Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. EST on Monday Night Football.
