The Park at Sixth does not have rest rooms.

If the city or the county holds an event there, porta-potties are put out. The county owns some, but County Manager William Wilson Jr. noted, but it does not have the facilities to empty and clean them, so it’s almost cheaper to pay a vendor who does to put them out.

Following a recent event at the park, the county had complaints from a business across the street as a lot of people, not customers, were coming in to use the rest rooms.

“We’ve been asked to consider providing them (porta-potties) for folks who rent the Park at Sixth,” said County Commission Chairman Gwen Flowers-Taylor.
