Kroger bond vote tabled

The City of Griffin tabled a vote on approving $866,397 in tax allocation bonds for the new Kroger.

City Attorney Drew Whalen said there are some details to work out with Kroger. The city and county also need an intergovernmental agreement for the issuance of the bonds, which the city did approve Tuesday night.

Whalen said the county is scheduled to vote on it Monday, then once approved by both commissions, at the city commission’s next meeting, Aug, 26, the city will vote on issuance of the bonds.

No surprise here .... If growth for Griffin can get screwed up the Griffin City Commissioners will be on the job ! ! !

Apparently, they weren't making enough "$$$$$ - under the table" .... wink, wink, nod, nod ! ! !

We're getting more like Clayton County every day.

And soon, the City Commissioners will have Bart Miller on the County Board to help stall progress.
