— Notice to area criminals: Due to the high increase in the cost of ammunition, do not expect a warning shot.

— County commission chair stated: “I would have an issue with waist-high grass in my district.” Ms. Flowers-Taylor, all you have to do is go out your home front door and look across the street and left three doors up (office) and right (No. 2 Dundee Mills) and everywhere around it. If you tour around, just your neighborhood, you’ll find lots to have issues with.

— These male gymnasts should stop trying to pretend that they are real athletes and should take up ballet instead. That is probably what they really want to be doing, anyway.

— I would like to congratulate the Griffin Development Authority for being such snobs as to turn down companies that want to come here. Clorox was turned down because the building was too big for Green Valley (it didn’t meet the profile). It would have brought 100 jobs to Spalding County, so they crossed the county line and are building in Butts County. Thanks, Griffin Development Authority.

— In the South we have a very nice way of categorizing something that is very stupidly said or done. We just say to the person, “Bless your heart.” To the bonehead who said, “If the King James Bible was good enough for the apostle Paul, it’s good enough for me.” Bless your heart. If you don’t get this, bless your heart.

Actually Rohm Emanuel is correct Chick-fil-A does not have values like those in Chicago. It is a good thing to since Rohm has become mayor it has become the murder capitol of the country. Chick-fil-A should not go there not because of any gay rights issue but because it is not a safe city in which to operate a business. Oh, by the way Rohm is a major reason the taxpayers lost over a half billion dollars in the Solyndra loan. Nothing he says is relevant. Touché!

Griffin is a one horse red kneck back woods hill billy hick southern mill town that constantly keep producing red kneck back woods hill billy hicks. I am fortunate I live in another town where there are none of the above mentioned.

For anyone that will be participating in the Chic-fil-A "kiss-in" today (and we know with some posters here its a possibility): Don't expect any "ooh gross" from the staff--they will treat you with dignity and respect (like always) and tell you it was their pleasure to serve you today. Unlike a lot of the bible rhetoric that goes on here at MTC--its your chance to pay attention to Christ like character--which is more important than anyone could ever "preach" to you. You will observe it every single day at Chick-fil-A but since today is a day that was chosen to bash a Christian establishment--you should pay close attention.

Oh, and I must add: A few weeks ago there was a same sex marriage wrong or right discussion on MTC. One of the posters more or less said we were narrow minded if we thought same sex marriage should have nothing to do with what they do in their bedrooms. Well, I ask that same poster--why would you do a "kiss-in" protest against something YOU don't believe in? With all the news I have read in the last two days--it seems that those of you who are gay/lesbian and don't believe in "bullying for the cause"--you need to stand up and speak out against your counterparts who will do anything to get their way.

Thank you America for restoring my faith in the silent majority. I don't care whether Dan Cathy is for or against same sex marriage, he is entitled to his beliefs. The media didn't make much of this, but Dan was not speaking about Chick-fil-a corporate policy when he made his statement, he was simply asked his personal opinion, and he gave it. I am proud of Americans showing their support, not just for a successful company that does wonderful works for charity, but for our first amendment right to voice our opinions. None of my Gay friends have any intention boycotting Chick-fil-a. We have got to stop turning the looking glass on other's opinions and life styles and focus on our own.

Yes, Dan was stating his opinion, which he has every right to do. This is not a 'freedom of speech' issue. The issue here is that Chick-Fil-A donates money to organizations that have publicly supported the imprisonment of gay Americans. They have financially supported Uganda's attempt to make homosexuality punishable by death and lobbied congress to NOT speak out against Uganda's policy. It's not an issue about his personal support for 'traditional ' marriage, or his freedoms to speak openly about them. The issue is that he is financially supporting groups that are actively trying to deny Americans of their Constitutional rights.....and that should scare th'hell out of any American.

OSB that is NOT what this is about. If it was--people would have been protesting long ago. Its not about what he gives money to--its because the founders son said he supported traditional marriage only! Nobody opened their mouthes until he said that. Quit spinning the truth.

To the person questioning the athleticism of male gymnasts: Are you serious? You must not be watching the same Olympics as me. How can you look at those young men with bodies that are pure controlled muscle from head to toe and say they aren't athletes? I doubt that male gymnasts want to be ballet dancers, but maybe you should read up on the number of professional football players who have taken ballet as part of their training so you can have a little more respect for what it involves.

thats what wrong with these county commissioners, Ms. Flowers-Taylor and the rest of the crooks! they can sit and talk & talk & talk ...ALL DAY & NIGHT LONG, but for her and the rest of the crooks, getting out in their districts to actually see what the "hay" is going on aint gonna happen and Ms. Flowers-Taylor surely aint gonna take that walk across the street from her house in that neighborhood! ReaLLy?!
