Mary Louise “Mel” Robinson

Mrs. Mary Louise “Mel” Robinson, 76, of Griffin, died Friday, July 13, 2012.

She was born in Birmingham, Ala., to the late Stanton and Mary Louise Pill Green. Mrs. Robinson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and was a friend to all who knew her. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega from the University of Alabama and a member of the Stone Mountain Women’s Club.

Mrs. Robinson is survived by her husband Cas Robinson; children David and Melody Robinson, Mark and Tammy Robinson, Blake and Kelli Robinson, Kate and Greg Schermerhorn; and grandchildren Gregory, Raina, Cassidy, Marissa, Amanda and Phillip.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2012, at McDonough Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Olin McBride officiating and a reception following at the church. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at the Stone Mountain City Cemetery with a reception immediately following at the Stone Mountain Women’s Club. The family will also receive friends Sunday, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral Home. Mrs. Tina Louise Stokley, age 49 of Griffin passed away Wednesday June 11, 2012, in Spalding Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Stokley’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
