No. 10-state ranked Spalding High defeated Westside-Augusta 4-2 in Game 3 of an opening-round series in the Class AAA state baseball playoffs on Saturday at Jaguar Field. Spalding was scheduled to open a second-round series against Carrollton at Jaguar Field on Wednesday, but rained pushed off the start of the three-game series today. First pitch in Game 1 is scheduled for 4 p.m. Game 2 will follow 45 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1. Game 3, if necessary, will start 6 p.m., Friday also at Jaguar Field.
